Lisa is a specialist in landlord and tenant law, in particular, housing law. She is instructed all aspects of landlord and tenant including advising, advocacy and drafting of pleadings, witness statements and skeleton arguments.

She has extensive knowledge of rent arrears and unauthorised occupancy but is also experienced in antisocial behaviour, nuisance, disrepair, homelessness, unlawful eviction, rights of first refusal, party walls, forfeiture, mortgage possession, long leases, and business leases.

Lisa acts for a wide range of clients including local authorities, social landlords, private landlords and tenants in both the County Courts and High Courts.

Lisa also has extensive experience of personal injury claims and has acted in claims ranging from road traffic and tripping and slipping accidents to industrial injury and disease cases.

Notable Cases
Recovered possession for the local authority following trial in numerous cases, successfully arguing for a rebuttable presumption that security of tenure had been lost.

Appeared on behalf of a direct access client in a claim to acquire the headlease after the landlords failure to offer first refusal on sale (order for the transfer of the headlease).

Junior Counsel in claim for damages for personal injury arising from an accident at work (recovery of £1,150,000 damages for Claimant).
